#NMTWINNING—a partnership with Vital Spaces, Santa Fe

by | Apr 22, 2020 | Coe Collaborations

The Coe Center is very excited to be partnering with Vital Spaces, IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, the Museum of International Folk Art, and the New Mexico Museum of Art for #NMtwinning. We challenge you to recreate or reinterpret works of art from New Mexico-based collections and post your pictures to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using #NMtwinning. Beginning on May 4, 2020, and continuing for the next four weeks, five submissions from each week will be randomly selected to receive a $200 prize thanks to a generous grant from the Falling Colors Foundation. While anyone is welcome to participate, you must live in New Mexico to be eligible to win a prize.

One of each of the five weekly prizes will be designated for a submission from a middle or high school student.

At the end of the four weeks, staff members from each institution will vote on the top three submissions amongst all of the posts and those winners will each receive a prize of $300. The winners of all the prizes will have the choice to receive the money personally or to donate it to the All Together New Mexico Fund.

Vital Spaces plans to hold a show of the winning works at our exhibition space on Santa Fe’s midtown campus when we reopen.

Go to Vital Spaces at https://www.vitalspaces.org/ or check out the info on our Facebook and Instagram for full details of how to participate!
